Steffi Tetzloff is a passionate trumpet performer, educator, and arranger. This fall she will begin her Doctorate in Music Performance, Pedagogy, and Literature at James Madison University under the tutelage of Dr. Chris Carrillo. Steffi received her Master of Music in Instrumental Performance from The Hartt School. She is also a graduate of Oklahoma State University, where she earned a BM in Instrumental Performance and a BS in Economics. Steffi has recently performed with the New Britain Symphony Orchestra, Hartt Symphony Orchestra, Hartt Wind Ensemble, Hartt Trumpet Ensemble, Foot in the Door contemporary ensemble, and Carousel Brass Quintet...In addition to her playing commitments, Steffi is enthusiastic about arranging music for brass. She first learned about arranging in a seminar hosted by Phil Snedecor in spring 2020 and has since completed numerous arrangements for brass quintet and trumpet ensemble.

Cameron Rodgers – Johnson, an aspiring composer and educator, is a native of Birmingham, AL. Currently studying Instrumental Music Education at the University of Alabama – Birmingham. He is a member of the trumpet studio and currently studies with Dr. James Zingara and Dr. Steven Roberts. He is heavily involved within the Department of Music at UAB, having performed with ensembles of multiple musical genres such as the UAB Marching Blazers, Symphony Band and Wind Symphony, Jazz Combo, Jazz Ensemble, the UAB Gospel Choir, and Trumpet Ensemble I. He is also a member of the Theta Theta Chapter of KKPsi, National Honorary Band Fraternity and serves as the Music Chair for UAB's Chapter. As a composer and arranger, he has written instrumental works for both large ensembles such as concert band and jazz ensemble while also writing works for chamber groups such as Brass Quintet and Trumpet Ensemble. He hopes to continue to branch out and diversify his musical reach in the world as both a composer and educator!

Laura Millar is an Ohio-based performer and composer.

As a freelance trumpet performer, Laura has played for local orchestras, churches, and also enjoys playing 2nd cornet in the Central Ohio Brass Band. She has a bachelor's degree in music education, a master's degree in performance, and is a member of the International Women’s Brass Conference. Laura was also a 2022 participant in the Westben Performer-Composer Residency program.

Her compositional work focuses on music for solo trumpet (often with electronics) and trumpet ensemble. She describes her style as ambient-inspired, writing pieces that are slow, melodic, and highly expressive. Her hope is that her music brings people whatever it is they need in the moment.

CODY RAY (he/him/his) is a freelance composer and performer based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His works have been performed and/or recorded by ensembles including the Grammy Award winning Cleveland Chamber Symphony, Western Michigan University Symphony Orchestra, The Oberlin Conservatory Brass Ensemble among others and have been selected for use at the North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference, The International Trumpet Guild Conference, the Akron New Music Festival, and the U.S. Navy Band's International Saxophone Symposium. He holds a M.M. from Western Michigan University and a B.M. from the University of Akron.

Jessica Rudman’s music inspires empathy for social issues through stories of myth, magic, and the modern world. Described as a “new music ninja” (Hartford Advocate), she blends lyrical melodies, sensual harmony, and vibrant color to draw listeners into her dramatic narratives. Rudman’s music has been performed by groups including the Arditti Quartet, the International Contemporary Ensemble, the Riot Ensemble, and the Omaha Symphony's Chamber Orchestra. She was a 2019 Connecticut Artist Fellow and a 2019-21 Composer Fellow in The American Opera Project’s Composers & the Voice program. She has also received awards from SCI/ASCAP, Boston Metro Opera, the College Music Society, the International Alliance for Women in Music, and others. In Fall 2022, she will join the faculty at the University of Utah as Assistant Professor of Composition and Theory.
